Welcome to TSA & BTS Online

Launched in print form in 1998, Translation Studies Abstracts and its companion publication Bibliography of Translation Studies offer a comprehensive resource for scholars of translation and intercultural studies and for researchers and teachers in related disciplines.

Translation Studies Abstracts consists of abstracts of articles from an extensive list of journals, electronic publications, collected volumes, and doctoral theses. Bibliography of Translation Studies consists of concise evaluative summaries of authored and collected volumes, offering a non-partisan guide to the literature in the area. TSA/BTS is designed to provide a major and unique research tool, focusing on and covering all aspects of research within the fields of translation studies and crosscultural communication.

Numerous independent abstractors and translators continue to contribute to the making of this extensive resource. The original categories have been carefully revised over the years, and the current categories now cover a broader range of disciplinary interests and reflect recent developments within more traditional areas of research.

Subscribers to TSA/BTS online can use the archives to:
  • carry out fast, reliable searches to identify publications relevant to their current field of research
  • prepare teaching materials and direct students to relevant publications
  • compile bibliographies and check references
