This book contains eight contributions which describe translation problems related to specific grammar issues (Temporal Sentences, Passive Voice, Gender, Conjunctions, Concessive clauses, Free Indirect Speech, etc.) between Spanish and French, German and English. Although one of the standpoints of modern Translation theories is to consider the text as a whole as the basic unit of analysis, this book proves how to focus on the translation of specific lexical or morphosyntactical units between language pairs may still be useful to both for translators and students of translation.
